Safety

At Mammoet Maritime we are committed to a ‘Full Compliance Culture’. This gives safety, health, and environmental matters the highest priority in all our activities, as guaranteed by Mammoet’s company-wide management system for Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHE-Q). This offers our employees all the tools they need to create safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly systems of work for all our activities and, where necessary, to review, revise, and document them. It goes without saying that quality, productivity, and low costs are also priorities for our company, but these must never be at the expense of safety, health, and the environment.

SHE-Q is a fundamental and integral part of everyday business within Mammoet. This is continually communicated to our employees through training programs and publications. Our internal and external training programs are key to the continuous improvement we strive for in our efforts to achieve ZERO accidents and incidents. We also do our utmost to encourage the involvement and development of our employees in the area of SHE-Q. We require all our employees, (sub)contractors, visitors, and any others who may be affected by our activities in any way to respect our policy, comply with our SHE-Q system, observe our procedures where applicable, and to understand that they have a legal and moral responsibility to themselves and to others.

Our employees are our most valuable asset. Ensuring their health and safety is an issue that we tackle proactively and which goes beyond simple compliance with regulations, policies, procedures, and safety audits. Our commitment to safe and healthy conditions does not end with our own people; it is aimed at anyone directly or indirectly involved in our activities.

Mammoet Maritime takes pride in its long history of improvements in the broad field of safety, health, the environment, and quality. We review our operations regularly so we can react to the demands of today and tomorrow. Not only does this bear fruit during our work, it is also good for our market position. After all, we are convinced that by systematically paying attention to safety, health, the environment and quality, we raise ourselves above other providers and, as a result, gain a competitive edge in our dynamic market.
